Suma is a true story about a young Afghan girl who has been attacked with acid, causing major damage to her face. Suma, who was enjoying both beauty and a euphonious voice, is suffering from severe depression. A short while before this misfortune, she had a suitor who had pledged to marry her. This pledge, whereon her entire hope turns, is no more than a straw in the wind. The fact that her suitor will be as good as his word is a very interesting point this story unfolds.
